Important Notice

  • Re-registration for students enrolled January 2022 and before has started.
  • A Student who has registered for MBA Distance or Diploma or Post Graduate Diploma or Bachelor Degree Program or MSc. or Professional Diploma should re-register online for Semester 2 / 3 / 4 whichever is applicable.
  • Last Date for Re-registration without Late Fee – July 30, 2022.
  • Registration with Late Fee of Rs. 1000 – July 31, 2022 to September 16, 2022.

  • Students can avail the Program (Specialization) change facility by paying the applicable Fees of Rs. 2,000.

  • Students who have not submitted the Assignments in June 2022 Exams or before can start the Assignments.
  • Students awaiting results of June 2022 Exams should wait for the results, which are are expected by July 2022 last week.

Please read the post below to understand about NMIMS Assignments

  • Go to Student Zone – – Exams – – Assignment to view the Assignments Question Paper from Web Portal (preferably Google Chrome)
  • For NMIMS Distance Education App, you need to go to My Courses – – Subject Name – – Assignments
  • Last date of Assignment Submission: Monday, August 29, 2022 before 23.59 PM IST
  • We advise you to submit the Assignments before 17:59 PM IST as there would be no support further in case of technical issues
  • Results of these Assignments will be published along with Term End Exams Results by October 2022 last week

  • Students who have previous semester pending subject/s or have not submitted the Assignments in June 2022 will be able to view the Assignments Question Papers
  • Such Students can start working on the Assignments and submit before the last date
  • Assignment submission is free for two Exam Sessions, after which it will be charged as Rs. 500 per paper
  • Fees once paid is neither refunded nor carry forwarded to next exam cycle
  • This is for Students who have submitted the Assignments earlier – If you are satisfied with your previous Assignment marks then you can skip the Assignment Submission of September 2022 Exams Session and only attempt for the Term End Exam
  • Your previous Assignment Marks will be carry forwarded in case of no submission this time
  • And if you submit the assignment again, the University will consider best of the Assignment Marks
  • You can use eBooks or Recorded Lectures to work on Assignments if you have not received the Hard Copy of the Study Materials

Important Points to Note regarding: NMIMS April 2022 Resit Exams Results

  • The Dashboard shows the results of the current Exam Session only and not the TEE or Assignment Marks carried ahead from previous Exam Sessions
  • So as advised above, go to Exams and then refer only the Pass Fail Status or Marks History and DO NOT REFER THE DASHBOARD
  • There is no individual passing in either Term End Exams or in Assignments
  • You need to score a Total of 50 Marks to clear a particular paper

Options if you have not cleared your Papers / Program

Option 1: Apply for Revaluation

Students who wish to apply for Revaluation of the Internal Assignment of April 2022 Resit Exams Results (not applicable in copy case) and descriptive answers of the Term End Examination may apply for the same on or before May 06, 2022, 18:59 hrs. using Service Request link available on Student Zone Home Page (via Student Zone — Service Request)

  • Fees for assignment revaluation is Rs. 1000/- per subject
  • Fees for Term End Examination descriptive answers revaluation is Rs. 1000/- per subject
  • Payment Mode: Revaluation Fee payment is via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking only
  • No Cash / Demand Draft facility is being offered

Kindly Note: Applying for assignment revaluation of April 2022 Resit Exams Results does not indicate that the marks would increase than the original score. It could either remain same or increase or even decrease than the original score. No request for assignment revaluation will be accepted after closure of assignment revaluation window for reasons whatsoever.

Option 2: Give the Exams again in June 2022 or later

  • Submit only the failed subject Assignment and do not appear for the June 2022 Exam OR
  • Register and appear for the failed subject in June 2022 Exams OR
  • Both re-submit the assignment of the failed subject and also register and appear for the June 2022 Exams

Important Note: If you are FAIL for any reason, it will still show as ASSIGNMENTS PENDING in your Student Zone. Read the “Carry Forward of Marks” section below for more information about it.

Kindly Note: Check the individual marks in Term End and Assignments and decide which of the above option is best for you. If you think you can clear your paper by giving only assignments, then go for it. If not, then give term end exams or both. It is your decision and we cannot suggest anything for it.

Copy Case:

  • If you got 0 in Assignments, go to Exams – Assignment Marks and check Remarks section for Copy Case
  • Students are expected to write Assignments in their own words
  • Although you are free to refer to any books / reference material / website / internet for attempting the Assignments, you are not allowed to copy the matter as it is
  • Assignments that are copied verbatim from any source is graded zero
  • If you are sure you have not copied from co-student, books, internet or other means, mail to ngasce.exams@nmims.edu and cc to nmims@halo.co.in for the same for clarification
  • University will respond to you and offer to share you the proof personally
  • Rather than mailing, we advise you to continue to make Assignments for those subjects and submit for June 2022 Exams, the details of which are shared below

Carry Forward of Marks

  • Keep in mind that Assignment marks or Term End marks are always carried forward in next Exams session
  • If you do not give Term End Exams or Assignments again, the previous marks will be considered
  • Although you are free to refer to any books / reference material / website / internet for attempting the Assignments, you are not allowed to copy the matter as it is
  • Even if you have submitted Assignments and got marks, it will show Pending or Not Submitted in your Student Zone and Dashboard just because you get an option to submit again
  • You can choose to NOT SUBMIT the Assignments again as the University will consider the marks of previously submitted Assignments
  • University considers the best of Assignment marks and / or Term End Examination if you decide to give again in next Exams session
  • Ignore the Dashboard or Student Portal Assignment Pending message if you are satisfied with the previous Assignment Marks and do not wish to submit the Assignments again

Important Points to Note regarding: NMIMS September 2022 Resit Exams Registration

  • NMIMS Distance Learning September 2022 Resit Exams are for PENDING or FAIL or Null and Void papers of previous Semesters
  • September 2022 Resit Exams would be online; read further to know more
  • You can give the Exams from your home or office or any part of the world provided the rules and regulations of the Exams are followed which is shared below
  • Students need to register online for the NMIMS September 2022 Resit Examination
  • For those who have submitted the Assignments and have received the Marks:
  • Since you have the option of submitting the Assignments again, your Student Portal will show as Assignment Pending
  • If you are satisfied with your previous Assignment marks then you can skip the Assignment submission and only attempt for the Term End Exam
  • Your previous Assignment marks will be carried forward for September 2022 Resit Exams in such cases
  • In case if you submit the Assignment again then the University will consider best of the Assignment marks
  • Exam Registration window opens from: Wednesday, August 10, 2022, 12:30 PM IST
  • Exam Registration window closes on: Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 23.59 hours
  • Students need to visit: online.nmims.edu – Student Zone – Exams – Exam Registration
  • NMIMS September 2022 Resit Exam Dates (TENTATIVE)*:
  • September 2022 – 02, 03, 04, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18
  • Mode of exam only online and will also be conducted in NMIMS Campus / Regional Offices
  • Exam slots for Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be 09:00 AM, 01:00 PM and 05:00 PM
  • Please Note that the tentative result declaration dates will be around last week of October 2022

Details of NMIMS September 2022 Resit Exams

  • Exam Dates: Please note that the Dates are tentative and if there is any change, we will keep you updated for the same
  • NMIMS September 2022 Resit Exams will be conducted only Online as well as NMIMS Campus / Regional Offices
  • Every Exam Slot will have a limited capacity and is not open
  • University reserves the right to shift Students to another Exam Slot in case of any unavoidable circumstances
  • Hence you are requested to complete the Exams Registration at the earliest to avoid disappointment
  • The next Exam Session would be held in December 2022
  • You can choose your own Date and Time Slot for each Exam subject to availability

  • The above Exam Dates and Times are subject to availability and on first-come-first-serve basis
  • Certificate Course Exams are for 120 minutes and MBA Distance / Bachelor Degree / PG Diploma / Diploma Exams are for 150 minutes
  • There would be no Hall Tickets for NMIMS September 2022 Resit Exams as the link will be shared in your Student Portal
  • You will have to show your Identity Card (or any other Government Photo ID Proof like Aadhar, PAN Card etc.) to the Proctor before the start of Exams to verify

Change Exam Center or Date or Time Slot

  • University will charge additional Processing Fee (Rs. 500/-) for Change of Exam registration in TOTAL per student and not per subject
  • Students can themselves change online the wrongly selected exam date/time slot same way as booking for the first time
  • In Exams – Exam Registration, you will see a Change Exam Center button in the bottom from which you can change Date or Time Slot
  • This change will be accepted in the portal only till the Exam Registration window is open and subject to availability

Examination Fee

  • Term End Paper Fee is Rs. 600 per paper
  • Examination Fee once paid will not be refunded or carried ahead for the next Exam cycle
  • If for any technical reason, your payment is deducted from your Card or Account and the Exam Registration is not done, DO NOT PAY AGAIN
  • Check the Exams Registration Status after half an hour in your Student Portal
  • You can check the Status in Exams Registration Section or can download from Quick Links – Exams Fee Receipt to verify the same
  • Based on approvals, University has already exempted June 2022 Exam fee paid Students who has requested to carry forward the Fee to NMIMS September 2022 Resit Exams
  • However these Students still need to complete the Exam Registration Process
  • Please check the Prerequisites for Exams from the section below and only then book the Exams as the Fee is not refundable or carried forward

Prerequisites for Exams

  • Laptop or Desktop in working condition
  • Mobiles or Tablets will not be allowed for Exams
  • Stable internet connectivity with minimum 2 MBPS speed
  • Hotspots will not work for Exams
  • Operational Webcam (external or inbuilt camera of laptop)
  • Well lit room
  • Compliance on compatibility – University has provided a compliance test link through which it will be assessed if all the above parameters are checked
  • Demo Exams – You will be getting a Demo Exams link to check if everything is working as per the standards

Regarding Exams Registration

  • Demo Exams will be made live next week
  • Registered Students will receive a copy of Do’s and Don’ts for the Exams in Email
  • It will help you under both the Technical as well as Non Technical aspects of the Exams
  • A Technical HelpDesk Number will be made available to the Students to discuss system related issues, if any

  • The Exams would be completely Online
  • Exam Links can be accessed only from your Student Portal after successful login
  • Proctor assistance will be available during the Exam along with Technical assistance
  • Procter will be done by a person along with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning parameters
  • If a Student is found copying or taking help from books or some other means, the exams will be treated as Unfair and will be failed for the subject

A. Since the Exams are online this time, location does not matter. Just note that the Exams are on Indian Standard Time and then go ahead with the Exam Registration. Also do check for the compatibility of the Exams in your region from the link that will be sent to you.

You have to just follow the steps which will check if you are on PC, and you have a good internet connection, and that you are not behind a firewall, and you have a working webcam and that the room is well lit to see the candidate properly. You have to repeat this test 24 hours before your every Exams to ensure that you do not face any issue in Exam.

A. Since the Exams are online this time, location does not matter. Just note that the Exams are on Indian Standard Time and then go ahead with the Exam Registration. Also do check for the compatibility of the Exams in your region from the link that will be sent to you.

  • Go to Student Zone – – Exams – – Assignment to view the Assignments Question Paper from Web Portal (preferably Google Chrome)
  • For NMIMS Distance Education App, you need to go to My Courses – – Subject Name – – Assignments
  • Last date of Assignment Submission: Tuesday, November 29, 2022 before 23.59 PM IST
  • We advise you to submit the Assignments before 17:59 PM IST as there would be no support further in case of technical issues
  • Results of these Assignments will be published along with Term End Exams Results by January 2023 last week

  • Students who have previous semester pending subject/s or have not submitted the Assignments in September 2022 will be able to view the Assignments Question Papers
  • Such Students can start working on the Assignments and submit before the last date
  • Assignment submission is free for two Exam Sessions, after which it will be charged as Rs. 500 per paper
  • Fees once paid is neither refunded nor carry forwarded to next exam cycle
  • This is for Students who have submitted the Assignments earlier – If you are satisfied with your previous Assignment marks then you can skip the Assignment Submission of December 2022 Exams Session and only attempt for the Term End Exam
  • Your previous Assignment Marks will be carry forwarded in case of no submission this time
  • And if you submit the assignment again, the University will consider best of the Assignment Marks
  • You can use eBooks or Recorded Lectures to work on Assignments if you have not received the Hard Copy of the Study Materials

Important Points to Note

  • Your Student Number is generated only after payment of Full Fee including Late Fee if any, Submission and Approval of Documents and Verification of Mobile and Email ID by NMIMS Distance Learning (Refer www.halo.co.in/documents for the same)
  • Once your Student Number is generated, it takes 2-3 working days to activate your NMIMS Student Zone and get your Password to log in to the NMIMS Student Zone
  • It takes 10 working days for hard copy of Study Materials to reach the address given during the Admission process
  • Please note that Professional Diploma Program Students do not get Hard Copies of the Study Materials
  • You will receive a Welcome Kit along with your Student Materials which contains your Welcome Letter and Undertaking Form
  • You will get a link in their Welcome Email, wherein you can access your Digital Identity Card via your Student Portal Login
  • Keep the Student Undertaking Form with you; we will let you know by Email and WhatsApp as to when and where to send the same
  • You will be mailed your NMIMS Student Zone password at your registered Email ID within 2 working days of Student Number generation

Steps To Access NMIMS Student Zone

  • Go to   https://studentzone-ngasce.nmims.edu/studentportal/authenticate  from your web browser, preferably Google Chrome or Click Here for  NMIMS Student Zone Login
  • Enter your Student Number as User ID
  • Student Number and Password for your NMIMS Student Zone will be mailed to you by the University
  • Student Number is also printed on your ID Card you received along with Study Materials
  • Click on Forgot Password if you have not received the Password
  • As you click on Forgot Password, you will get the same in your registered Email ID
  • You can also download NMIMS Distance Education App from Google or Apple Store

  • On logging in for the first time, you will be asked to Change Password and Update your Profile

  • If you miss any slot, you can use any of the upcoming slots to attend the Orientation

  • Students of all the NMIMS Distance Learning Courses are requested to visit https://najeebullahwp.com/nmims-distance-lectures/ to check the latest Schedule pertaining to your Course
  • Academic Calendar will be updated a day before the Lecture Date
  • Click on Academic Calendar menu option always in your NMIMS Student Zone
  • Do not refer to the Academic Calendar shortcut available on the Dashboard of NMIMS Distance Portal
  • It will give your scheduled Lectures as per the dates mentioned in the calendar
  • To attend the Lecture, you need to click on the Subject you want to watch Live on the same day
  • To attend Live Lecture, you must login at least 60 minutes prior to the Lecture
  • You will find a Attend Session button on the right which you will have to click to watch it Live
  • Note that the process to watch lectures on Browser and Mobile is the same
  • Download the Zoom extension / App when prompted in Chrome / App / Other Browser

Steps To View Recorded Lectures Or E-Books

  • Click on My Courses
  • You will see all the Subjects name in Blue Boxes with a number of options like Resources, Q & A, Forum etc.
  • Click on Resources for the Subject you wish to see the Lectures or e-Books
  • You will find your Course Material, Presentation, Session Plan and the Lectures and all the other Resources in that
  • From the drop down menu, you can select PDF if you wish to access e-Books
  • Or select PPT if you wish to see PowerPoint Presentations
  • Or select Video if you wish to see NMIMS Recorded Lectures
  • Another way to access the recorded lectures is to go through Session Videos
  • Visit  www.halo.co.in/recorded-lectures  to know the steps
  • Please note that the Lectures and e-Books downloads are disabled from NMIMS Distance Web Portal as of now
  • You can download only from Mobile App and see the Lectures or E-Books from the App itself

  • Assignments for June 2023 Exam Session will be LIVE in February 2023 second week
  • The Last Date for the same would be in May 2023 last week
  • Click on Exams and then click on Assignment in case of Web Portal
  • For Mobile App, go to My Courses – Subject Name – Assignments
  • This will be live only in second week of February 2023
  • You will find Assignment Guidelines and Assignment Submission Steps in Blue boxes there
  • Model Answers and Assignment Preparation Video will also be available in the same page
  • In the table below the boxes, you will find Assignment Questions of all the subjects
  • Download the Assignment Question Files of all the Subjects
  • Before submitting your completed assignment, make sure you convert it to PDF format
  • Read Assignment Guidelines on NMIMS Distance Learning Student Portal very carefully before starting and submitting the Assignments

About Examination

  • Your Examination System is Online Computer Based and not Paper-Pen
  • There is no syllabus or importance as such; you need to study the whole Books and watch the Lectures
  • Exams consist of two components – 30 Marks Internal and 70 Marks Term End Exams
  • Both the components are compulsory
  • The 70 Marks Term End Exams will be held in June 2023
  • Assignment Questions of 30 Marks per Subject will be uploaded by February 2023 second week
  • The Exam Registration Window will start in May 2023 second week and we will let you know when it is live
  • You will have to book early to get your nearest Exam Center
  • Exam Centres are at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gurugram, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow, Nagpur, Nashik, New Delhi, Noida, Patna, Raipur, Rajkot, Surat, Thane and Vadodara and are subject to change as per the University
  • Exam Fee is Rs. 600 per paper and you need to pay that while registering for Exams
  • Every Semester has 6 subjects and the total Exam Fee per Semester would be Rs. 3,600
  • Hall Ticket would be available by May 2023 last week in your NMIMS Global Student Zone – Exams – Hall Ticket
  • Indicative Exam dates (Fri/Sat/Sun): Four weeks in June 2023
  • These dates are tentative and we will share the exact dates when announced
  • You have an option to choose your own exam paper and dates
  • If you fail to give Exams in June 2023, you can apply for Re-sit in September 2023
  • Please note that Re-sit Exams are only held in selected locations and University Campus and Regional Offices
  • There are no Full Sample Papers provided by the University
  • You can go to Exams – Demo Exam which will help you understand how MCQ’s and Descriptive Questions are prepared
  • Demo Exam papers are made available for reference purpose only
  • There may be selected subjects only which may not be applicable to all Programs or Semesters
  • There would be limited questions only for practice
  • Students can see the scores of the Multiple Choice Questions
  • Students can experience the editor tool and check on which questions went wrong

Examination Pattern For NMIMS Distance MBA, Professional Diploma And Diploma Students

  • Passing criteria: 50% Aggregate (No separate passing in Assignments or Term End Exams)
  • Your Total Marks have to be 50 out of 100 combined in Assignments and Term End Exams
  • In Term End Exams, Multiple Choice Questions would be of 40 Marks and Descriptive would be of 30 Marks
  • The breakup of your Term End Exams would be as belowThe breakup of your Term End Exams would be as below
  • 10 MCQ Questions of 0.5 Marks each = 5 Marks
  • 15 MCQ Questions of 1 Mark each = 15 Marks
  • 10 MCQ Questions of 2 Marks each = 20 Marks
  • 3 Descriptive Questions of 10 Marks each = 30 Marks (to be written in Text Box)
  • You will get 3 Descriptive Questions in Exams and you can choose to answer any 3 out of these 4
  • Even if you answer all the 4, the best 3 out of those would be considered
  • Duration of Term End Exams would be of 150 minutes
  • There are no negative markings in Exams

  • Your Total Marks have to be 50 out of 100 combined in Assignments and Term End Exams
  • In Term End Exams, Multiple Choice Questions would be of 40 Marks and Descriptive would be of 30 Marks
  • The breakup of your Term End Exams would be as below
  • 20 MCQ Questions of 1 Mark each = 20 Marks
  • 10 MCQ Questions of 2 Marks each = 20 Marks
  • 3 Descriptive Questions of 10 Marks each = 30 Marks (to be written in Text Box)
  • You will get 5 Descriptive Questions in Exams and you can choose to answer any 3 out of these 5
  • Even if you answer all the 5, the best 3 out of those would be considered
  • Duration of Term End Exams would be of 150 minutes
  • There are no negative markings in Exams

  • 42 MCQ Questions of 0.5 Marks each = 21 Marks
  • 35 MCQ Questions of 1 Mark each = 35 Marks
  • 7 MCQ Questions of 2 Marks each = 14 Marks
  • Duration of Term End Exams would be of 120 minutes
  • There are no negative markings in Exams

Re-Registration Or Next Semester Fee Payment

  • MBA (Distance), Diploma, BBA, BCOM and Professional Diploma Students will have to pay your Next Semester Fee on or before last week of June 2023
  • Re-registration is not applicable to Certificate Course Students
  • Diploma Students can upgrade their Course to NMIMS Distance MBA only before payment of Semester 2 Fee
  • Contact us through WhatsApp or Email or Call for the same for guidance before making the Re-registration payment
  • If you wish to change specialization, you can do it while paying your next Semester Fee on NMIMS Distance Learning website
  • Change of specialization is allowed only before Second Semester Fee Payment for Diploma Students and before Third Semester Fee Payment for NMIMS Distance MBA Students
  • You will have to pay the applicable Fee (currently Rs. 2000) if you wish to Change the Specialization of your NMIMS Distance Learning Course
  • You can complete your Re-registration even if you have not given the Exams
